Students may experience bullying and harassment by their peers or school staff. This harassment, whether verbal or physical, can result in students losing class time, experiencing harm to their health and mental health, and more. Bullying and harassment that is based on students’ diverse backgrounds and identities may be a violation of their civil rights.
